"What?" Rodney said, brushing at his cheek. "Is my face dirty?"

John blinked at Rodney's words, coming out of the semi-trance he'd been in. He could feel his face grow warm, and he straightened up and turned his attention back to the conference room monitor and the information Rodney had displayed there.

"No, Rodney," he said in answer to Rodney's question, trying to put just the right amount of annoyance into his voice. "I was thinking."

Rodney stared at him with a frown creasing his forehead, and then shook his head and turned away. "Well, don't hurt yourself, Colonel," he said distractedly. "Now, as I was saying..."

John tuned him out again, but he kept his eyes firmly locked onto the screen. It'd been happening a lot lately, his distraction whenever he looked at Rodney's profile. It wasn't his fault though; it was Rodney's. Rodney's high forehead and sharp nose and thin, mobile lips and bright blue eyes. And eyelashes. Those long, thick eyelashes that brushed against his cheeks when he looked down and fanned out enough to cast a shadow when he looked straight on.

John was becoming obsessed with those damned eyelashes.

He wondered what they'd feel like brushing across the skin of his face when he kissed Rodney, how they'd feel on his stomach as Rodney worked his way down to John's cock.

John squirmed a little as he started to get hard from the direction of his thoughts. He had to stop thinking about it. It was never going to happen. Rodney was straight. And even if he wasn't, he was a member of John's team, and John wouldn't compromise that. No matter how much he wanted to touch those eyelashes, to brush his lips across them, he wouldn't.

With Rodney's voice a persistent drone in the background, John's attention drifted away from the monitor and back to Rodney's profile where he once more become lost in the fascination of those long, thick eyelashes.
